Gilmer Funicular & Han deck Link in Europe. The Gilmer Funicular [Gelmerbahn] provides individuals from Han deck [at 1412m in the area between Innerkirchen and the Grimselpass in Switzerland] to the Gelmersee pond at 1849m. It is stated to be the steepest [106 degrees] funicular of its type on the globe. It certainly seemed remarkably straight in its higher segments. I think it is managed by the same utility that functions the Thrift Link program. The Thrift Link is just over the hill, in the area major up to the Sustenpass area.

From the top of the funicular you can stroll around the lake/reservoir, ascend the hill hut at 2412m, or stroll returning down to Han deck. 17 more pictures after the break

The funicular functions from beginning July to mid Oct.  It expenses 15 Europe francs [CHF] for only one solution and 25 CHF for a comet returning.
