Disney Channels Worldwide has promoted development execs Jennilee Cummings and Nikki Reed to VP of Disney Route and Disney XD unique series, and VP of Disney Route unique movies, respectively.

"We have long pursued a very successful strategy that focuses on unique storytelling for kids and families," Disney Channels Worldwide senior veers of unique programming Adam Bonnett said, "and that strategy is enhanced by Jennilee and Nikki, who bring experience, skill, creative instincts and a deep appreciation of the Disney heritage to their jobs."

Cummings has been with Disney Route since 2004, most recently serving as exec director of unique movies. She oversaw "Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas," cable's most-watched live-action pica of 2011.

Going forward, she will shepherd live-action series development for Disney Route and Disney XD while identifying new talent.

Reed, who has more than 15 years' experience overseeing feature films and television series development, served as unique series veer for Disney Route and Disney XD after joining the company in 2010. Among the series she developed are "Austin and Ally," "Lab Rats" and soon-to-premiere "Dog with a Blog" and "Crash and Bernstein."

Reed will now oversee Disney Channel's unique movie slate while cultivating new projects, writers and directors.

Cummings will report to Bonnett, while Reed will report to Disney Route unique movies senior veep Michael Healy.
